# How Quotrium works

Quotrium turns a described job into a numbered scope of work, sends that one scope to the contractors you choose, and returns their bids scored against it. Five steps, start to finish.

## Step 1: Describe the work

Pick a trade, add the property or properties, and describe the job in plain language. Photos, videos, plans and spec documents attach to the project or to one specific property.

## Step 2: Approve the drafted scope

Quotrium drafts a line-by-line scope of work against the standard obligations of that trade, flags its own assumptions and the things it could not know, and waits for you to edit and approve it. Nothing goes to a vendor until you approve.

## Step 3: Invite your own contractors

You invite the contractors you already trust. Each one gets a magic link — no account, no password, no app to install — and a quote deadline you set.

## Step 4: Vendors answer the same checklist

Every contractor prices the same numbered scope on their phone, marking each line included, excluded or ambiguous, and can attach their own proposal document. Most finish in under five minutes.

## Step 5: Compare ranked, honest quotes

Quotes come back scored on how much of your scope they actually cover and how their price compares to the others. Exclusions sit next to the price instead of hiding in a PDF, and you can export the whole comparison as a report.

## How the ranking works

Each scope line carries a weight from 1 to 5. A quote earns the full weight for a line it includes, half for one it marks ambiguous, and nothing for one it excludes — that ratio is its compliance score. Price is scored against the median of the active quotes. The ranking is 75% compliance and 25% price, so the most complete quote wins more often than the cheapest one.

## What Quotrium does not do

- Quotrium does not estimate what work should cost. It is a drafting and comparison tool, not an estimator, and a generated scope is a draft rather than a binding estimate.
- Quotrium does not take payment for the work, hold funds, or sit between you and your contractor. Contracting, scheduling and payment happen off-platform, directly between you and the vendor you select.
- Quotrium does not sell leads and does not charge contractors. Vendors quote for free; the product is funded by owner subscriptions only.
- Quotrium does not pick your contractor. It ranks quotes on scope coverage and price and shows its work — the selection is yours.
- Quotrium does not send your photos to a language model. Scope drafting is text-only; photos and videos are shown to the people bidding, never used as model input.
- Quotrium does not give a contractor your street address or your identity before you choose one. Vendors see the city and state, the property facts you recorded, and the scope.
